As we may all have noticed, Salma Hayek has been extremely highly acclaimed lately -by Mexicans and others not so Mexicans-, to magnify the image of Latinos, and especially of Mexico; not just in Hollywood but in different parts of the world.
And to tell the truth, how not to applaud it, if it has been able to demonstrate the charisma of the Mexican and the pride that one must have for its own roots. Nowhere, and in no situation, no one should deny the place from which it comes.
Bringing mariachi, mezcal, and tequila -Ocho, of course- to one of the major international film festivals in the world; singing Cielito lindo and Mexico lindo y querido with Iñárritu, Del Toro, Cuarón, Lubeski, Gael García and Diego Luna, and talking with the most iconic figures of television; Salma has been able to express her ideologies and represent what she is as a woman, actress and Mexican.
And in addition to all that, she has become the perfect ambassador for Tequila Ocho. Bringing bottles from Nice to Cannes, to share them with the biggest minds in the cinema; making the brand participant in its events and celebrations, and if this were not enough, naming his dog "Ocho". Salma has also made us great.
Thank you Salma, for showing that there are no boundaries.
